SinoHytec Co-hosts the FCV Standardization Working Group 2nd Meeting in 2023

Release Date:2023-10-24

The 2nd Meeting of the FCV Standardization Working Group 2023 hosted by China Automotive Standardization Research Institute (CASRI) with SinoHytec as the co-organizer was launched successfully in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province. The meeting gathered together more than 90 government officials and experts of the Zhangjiakou Administration for Market Regulation, CASRI, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, FAW, BAIC, Toyota and BMW.

Drafts GB/Z Test Methods for Durability of Fuel Cell Engine and Its Key Components and GB/T Post Crash Safety Requirement for Fuel Cell vehicle were discussed during the meeting with preliminary agreement reached. In addition, the meeting also discussed the technical contents in the QC/T Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle-Onboard Hydrogen System-Online Inspection Specification and the QC/T Communication Protocol of Fuel Cell Vehicle Hydrogen Refueling Connector.

CASRI is a centralized automotive standardization authority under the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) who is in charge of managing and setting standards for the automotive industry. Since the establishment of CASRI, it has been focusing on the standardization research of more than 10 forward-looking automotive technologies and actively participated in drafting more than 80 new project standards.

Setting standards are the priority of technology innovation. As one of the members of CASRI, SinoHytec attaches great importance to industry standard-setting, actively shares technical and commercial experiences with CASRI and offer ideas and suggestions so as to facilitate CASRI’s works in service offering, technical management and standard setting.

During the 2nd meeting, SinoHytec raised the necessity of conducting pre-research study on the establishment of two industry standards: the Technical Condition for Ejectors in Fuel Cell Engines and the Technical Condition for Vehicle Conductivity Meters. Ejectors and vehicle conductivity meters are both essential components of hydrogen fuel cell engines, while the former improves the efficiency of hydrogen consumption and is safe to use; the latter can monitor the insulation of the system and send out early warning information to meet customers’ demands for safety and intelligent judgment. By setting standards which fills industrial gaps, SinoHytec aims to improve product quality, as well as to set benchmark for the industry.

Standardization is the foundation for the healthy and orderly development of the industry. In the future, SinoHytec will continue to play a leading role in the hydrogen fuel cell industry and support the drafting and amendment of industry standards so as to facilitate high quality development of the fuel cell sector.
